Quantum Computing Technology Industry Survey
Quantum Computing Companies, Scored
Independent research on quantum computing companies. No hype. No press release rewrites. Just rigorous analysis from people who know how these systems actually work.
The Quantum Scorecard
Our scorecard evaluates every major quantum computing company across the dimensions that determine whether a given approach is actually progressing toward fault tolerance, and independent scientific validation through peer-reviewed results rather than press releases.
Transparent Scoring
Every score carries a confidence factor, because the evidence quality varies enormously across this sector. Scorecards update quarterly, and when a rating changes we tell you exactly what moved and why.

Composite and category scores are free for every company in our coverage. The full dimensional breakdown, including the underlying reasoning and confidence factors, is available to Coherence Members.
Most coverage of quantum computing treats qubit counts as the headline metric, because it is the easiest number to put in a press release. But raw qubit count tells you almost nothing about whether a system can actually run useful algorithms. What matters is the physical-to-logical qubit ratio, since error correction overhead can require a thousand or more noisy physical qubits to produce a single reliable logical qubit. It also matters how that error rate holds up as circuit depth increases, since a processor that looks impressive on a shallow demonstration circuit can fall apart on anything resembling a real workload.
