Pasqal Clears Its Last Major SEC Hurdle To Go Public Via SPAC, Shareholder Vote Set For August 25
Pasqal's joint SEC Form F-4 registration statement with SPAC Bleichroeder Acquisition Corp. II (Nasdaq: BBCQ) was declared effective on August 5, 2026, clearing the way for an extraordinary shareholder meeting on August 25 to approve the deal. Pasqal, founded in 2019 by Nobel laureate Alain Aspect, has raised over $300 million privately and will trade as "PSQL" on Nasdaq once the combination closes. The company's system has already deployed architectures exceeding 1,000 physical qubits.
This is the next name in line behind Quantinuum, IQM, and Horizon Quantum to become a publicly traded, standalone quantum hardware company, adding a fourth neutral-atom-adjacent name to the growing list of quantum companies investors can now actually buy shares of.
Effectiveness is a procedural milestone, not a done deal, the actual shareholder vote is what matters, and SPAC deals have failed at the vote stage before. Worth revisiting on August 25 rather than treating this as final.
