IQM's First Earnings Report As A Public Company Shows 47% Revenue Growth And A Backlog Past €100 Million
IQM Quantum Computers (Nasdaq: IQMX; Nasdaq Helsinki: IQMX.HE) reported its first results as a dual-listed public company: H1 2026 revenue of €8.87 million (up 47% YoY), an H1 operating loss of €60.54 million (widened from €31.64 million, driven partly by €9.9 million in SPAC/listing transaction costs), and order backlog of €69.1 million at quarter-end, which jumped past €102.1 million as of August 3 after a separate €33 million CSC/LUMI AI Factory contract landed in July. Following its business combination closing July 1, pro-forma cash stood at €309.4 million (~$337.2M), and the company issued formal FY2026 guidance of €42-47 million revenue and €65-75 million order intake. IQM has delivered 17 of 26 sold systems globally, including its first US delivery to Oak Ridge National Laboratory in June.
This is the most complete, guidance-backed earnings report of the three quantum SPAC debuts covered in this batch, real revenue growth, a large disclosed backlog with an actual named contract behind the biggest jump, and formal forward guidance, a meaningfully higher disclosure bar than Horizon Quantum or Xanadu cleared in the same week.
47% H1 revenue growth on a small base and a backlog boosted by one large contract (the €33M CSC deal) landing right after quarter-end is a strong quarter, but also a reminder that a single contract can move these numbers dramatically at this scale. The FY2026 guidance range is the number to hold them to next quarter.
